Mothers Day has been and gone over here in the UK, but it is rapidly approaching in many other countries around the world including the USA.
Vintage style fan cake decoration
Now unfortunately, we don't sell our gorgeous handmade cake decorations outside of the UK,
it would be a logistical nightmare if they all started coming back damaged (because the packages
had been opened by customs etc.). But of course it is possible to recreate a touch of that
Salon Glacé cake decorating glamour for yourself (or for your Mom) by giving one of our simple cake decorating projects a go.
The Vintage Style Fan shown above is one of the easiest cake decorations you will ever come
across and surprisingly quick to make. You can also make the same decoration in a smaller
cupcake version using the same step by step instructions but with a smaller cutter.
Either way we think your Mum will be absolutely delighted when you present her with your
fabulous Salon Glacé inspired cake and you will be feeling pretty pleased with yourself too!

22nd & 23rd September 2012 - Earls Court, London
Question: Do you love baking? Answer: Of course you do!
Great news for anyone who loves cake and baking.
The Cake & Bake Show is the UKs first consumer
baking show. It will be taking place on 22nd & 23rd
of September 2012, at Earls Court, London.
The show will be hosting a fantastic range of
events, including Sugarcraft Workshops,
a live Demonstration Theatre, Kiddies Kitchen
and a Marketplace where you will be able to buy
fantastic products from top artisan bakers and
cake makers.
Appearances by some of the biggest names in the baking and cake decorating world will ensure that
ticket sales for this inaugural event go through the roof!
Names already confirmed to appear in the show's line up include: the judges of the popular
'Great British Bake Off', Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood. Master Patissier and face of 'Baking Mad' Eric Lanlard. Mistress of the piping bag, the fabulous Peggy Porschen. The gorgeous
Mich Turner MBE of 'Little Venice Cake CO' and everyone's favourite cake making Essex Girl,
Juliet Sear of the wonderful 'Fancy Nancy Cakes' Leigh-On-Sea, Essex, plus many more.
